Higher and Int 2 Composite Homework

Higher Business Management

This is Mr McGowan's page for Higher Business Management.

You will find links to relevant websites and other pages for the individual units.

Slides for all the Higher Business Management outcomes are available on the pages and you will also find links to download core notes.

Higher Business Management is a very interesting and relevant subject. I hope you enjoy it and do well.

Welcome

This is the introductory page for the Higher Business Management course blog by Mr McGowan.

On the left you will find links to the relevant outcomes where I will upload and share all my slideshows with you, and put appropriate revision notes up.

On this page there will be links to the Core Notes (which you should download to your own PC for later reference) and you can leave your comments for me and the rest of the class about the subject.

All published comments are moderated, so we won't get spammers hijacking our page!

I will be looking to put up homework questions on this site, as well as putting appropriate links to business websites, which due to us not being in a practical room, can help make the subject more interactive.

I hope you find this blog helpful and feel free to leave comments, or you can talk to me in class about it.

Happy surfing!

Update!

I will still post materials and resources on this blog, though I have been putting pupil work and their study needs on my Higher BM 2009 blog and the Higher BM 2010 blog.

But for much of the stuff that will remain for a while, I'll put on here and the appropriate pages.

So for example, if you go to Operations, you will see my Methods of Production video.

Enjoy!

BM Handbooks

I have uploaded my Higher Business Management Handbooks on to Scribd. I joined this last year but I went with Google Docs because I felt it would tie in better with Blogger. Only problem is Google Docs only allows uploads of 500k!!! You know me, my stuff is always bigger (and naturally better!).

Anyway you will find the links to each of the units here:

Remember these handbooks do contain the core notes but also I have included many of the handouts and worksheets that I issue. They also have some excellent case studies distributed by Times 100 and I also have included Business news stories I think are interesting and relevant.

You need to get into the habit of reading the Business news EVERY day. You may find some examples that can help you explain a key concept in the exam.
